Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Senior Aircraft Performance Analyst to join our Mahikeng operations in North West. The role focuses on collecting and interpreting flight data to drive performance improvements across the fleet, with emphasis on fuel efficiency, range, and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in aircraft performance analysis, a strong aerospace/quantitative background, and proficiency in Python, R or MATLAB.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in aircraft performance analysis or similar analytical role.
• Bachelor's or Master's in a relevant field is required.
• Strong data analysis skills and understanding of aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze flight data from multiple aircraft platforms to assess performance characteristics.
• Develop and refine statistical models for performance trend analysis.
• Identify deviations from expected performance and conduct root cause analysis.
• Prepare reports and presentations detailing findings and recommendations to management.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to implement improvements.
• Monitor KPIs related to fuel efficiency, range, endurance and reliability.
• Stay current with aviation regulations and data analytics tools.
• Contribute to maintenance of performance databases and analytical tools.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the analysis process.
• Assist in evaluating new aircraft technologies for performance impact.
