Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician for our Cape Town facility. This on-site role focuses on maintaining airworthiness and performance across a diverse aircraft fleet, contributing to flight safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have AMT licensing, 5+ years of hands-on experience, and strong knowledge of hydraulics, engines, and avionics. You will work in a fast-paced hangar with a dedicated team, following aviation regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) license or equivalent.
• 5+ years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience.
• Experience with line and base maintenance on commercial or general aviation aircraft.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, engines, and avionics.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various aircraft types.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and service bulletins to guide maintenance procedures.
• Replace and repair aircraft components, ensuring work meets safety and quality standards.
• Conduct functional tests and system checks after maintenance to verify operation.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with flight crews and operations to address issues promptly.
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergent maintenance needs.
