Job summary

Placements24 in Cape Town seeks an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join a hands-on hangar team. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspect structures, engines and systems, and ensure airworthiness and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of direct maintenance experience, a recognized Aircraft Maintenance qualification, and the ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification or certification in Aircraft Maintenance.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic aircraft systems.
• Familiarity with aviation regulations and maintenance documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft structures, engines, and systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, implementing effective repair solutions.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to perform maintenance tasks accurately.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance performed, including parts used and time spent.
• Ensure compliance with all aviation regulations and company safety policies.
• Collaborate with flight crews and operations teams to address aircraft maintenance concerns promptly.
