Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aircraft Line Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team at Upington airport. You will oversee daily line maintenance operations, ensuring airworthiness before departure and coordinating schedules to minimize delays.

The role requires at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, an AME license, and strong leadership and problem-solving abilities. A flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in aircraft line maintenance.
• AME license or equivalent certification.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a team of aircraft maintenance technicians performing line maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and approved data.
• Coordinate scheduling and allocation of resources to meet operational demands and minimize delays.
• Perform quality checks and audits on maintenance work.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical guidance for complex aircraft issues.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables for line maintenance operations.
• Foster a safe and efficient working environment, promoting safety procedures.
