Job summary

Placements24 in Upington, South Africa, is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Planner to schedule and coordinate all planned maintenance activities for the fleet. You will create work packages, manage schedules, and optimize resources to maximize aircraft availability while meeting safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires strong aviation knowledge, software proficiency (AMOS, TRAX), and excellent organizational and team collaboration skills.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance planning.
Degree or certification in aviation technology or maintenance preferred.
Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, regulations, and documentation.
Proficiency with AMOS, TRAX, or similar planning software.
Excellent organization, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Effective team player with clear cross-department communication.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain long-term and short-term maintenance schedules for the fleet.
Create detailed maintenance work packages with tasks, parts, and assignments.
Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and supply chain to secure parts.
Monitor progress, track deviations, and adjust plans as needed.
