Placements24 seeks a Senior Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer in Polokwane to lead the design, development, integration, and testing of complex electrical systems for aircraft. You will drive electrical power distribution, wiring harness development, and system integration within aerospace standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience and proficiency with CAD/CAE tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is required.
• Master's degree is preferred for advanced roles.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in aircraft electrical system design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical power distribution systems, wiring harnesses, and related components for aircraft applications.
• Perform system-level analysis, including load calculations, fault tolerance studies, and power quality assessments.
• Integrate electrical systems with other aircraft subsystems, ensuring seamless functionality and compliance with design specifications.
• Develop and execute test plans and procedures for electrical components and systems, both in lab environments and on aircraft.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical system issues encountered during development, manufacturing, and in-service phases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and manufacturing personnel.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., ARP standards, MIL-SPECs) and regulatory requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, test reports, and specifications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior electrical engineers.
