Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Aerospace Systems Integration Engineer near Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. You will lead integration across avionics, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems, driving architectures and interfaces through design and flight testing.

The role requires 7+ years in aerospace systems engineering, strong problem-solving and leadership, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams under ARP4754A and SAE standards. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years in aerospace systems engineering with strong integration focus.
• Experience leading complex system integration projects in aerospace.
• Familiarity with lifecycle processes and SysML/DOORS tooling.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage system and subsystem interfaces for seamless integration.
• Develop system integration plans, procedures and test cases.
• Oversee integration of avionics, power, flight controls into aircraft architecture.
• Conduct system-level testing, analysis and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, software and mechanical teams.
• Ensure adherence to aerospace standards (ARP4754A, SAE).
• Participate in design reviews and configuration management.
• Prepare technical docs, reports and presentations on integration.
• Mentor junior engineers and grow systems engineering capability.
• Support flight testing and operational integration phases.
