Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Avionics Systems Integration Engineer in Randburg, Gauteng. The role focuses on integrating complex avionics systems across aircraft platforms, ensuring seamless functionality, interoperability and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in avionics systems engineering, strong knowledge of FMS, communications, navigation and displays, and familiarity with ARINC 429, AFDX, networking protocols. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer or Aerospace Engineering (or related).
• Master's degree preferred for senior role.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of avionics systems across aircraft platforms.
• Define system architecture requirements and interfaces.
• Develop and maintain integration plans, schedules and resources.
• Conduct system integration testing, validation and verification.
• Troubleshoot complex issues; determine root causes and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with ARINC, DO-178C/DO-254 and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical teams; mentor juniors.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
