Job summary

Placements24 in Stellenbosch seeks an experienced Senior Aerospace Quality Inspector to ensure products meet high quality and regulatory standards. You will inspect materials, components and finished parts, interpret drawings and AS9100 requirements, and address deviations to support continuous improvement.

The role requires 6+ years in aerospace quality inspection, strong metrology skills, GD&T proficiency, and calibration experience. On-site work in Stellenbosch with a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years as a Quality Inspector in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of quality control principles and metrology.
• Able to read GD&T and engineer drawings to tight tolerances.
• Familiar with AS9100 quality standards.
• Proficient with measurement tools and calibration practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of raw materials, components and finished parts using precision instruments.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and AS9100 quality requirements.
• Verify conformity to technical specs and identify non-conformances.
• Document non-conformances and participate in root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Perform instrument calibration checks and ensure traceability.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and QA to resolve issues.
• Maintain inspection records and support junior inspectors.
