Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aerospace Quality Inspector in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will ensure aircraft components and assemblies meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements, performing dimensional checks, material analysis, and documentation review.

The role requires experience with CMM, calipers, micrometers, and visual inspection, and a strong understanding of SACAA and FAA standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Aerospace Quality Inspector or similar role in aviation/manufacturing.
• Proficiency with inspection tools and techniques including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and visual inspection.
• Solid understanding of aerospace quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements (SACAA, FAA).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications accurately.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished assemblies to verify compliance with drawings and specs.
• Use precision measuring instruments to perform dimensional checks and functional tests.
• Identify and document non-conformities; initiate corrective actions with relevant teams.
• Review and verify documentation, certifications, and test results for completeness and accuracy.
• Participate in internal and external audits ensuring adherence to AS9100 and related standards.
