Placements24 is seeking a Senior Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer for our client in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. You will oversee and optimize manufacturing processes for complex aircraft components, applying advanced machining, composites, and assembly methods to improve quality and reduce costs.

Lead cross-functional teams, develop work instructions and BOMs, implement lean and Six Sigma initiatives, ensure AS9100 compliance, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced hybrid facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum of 8 years in aerospace manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with machining, fabrication, assembly and composites.
• Strong AS9100 knowledge and regulatory requirements.
• Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement experience.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace components.
• Oversee production activities and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Create and maintain work instructions, process flows, and BOMs.
• Apply lean principles to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Manage tooling, equipment, and technology selections.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and regulatory requirements.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff.
• Conduct root cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Participate in production planning to meet deadlines.
