About the Role

Our client, a leading adventure tourism operator based in the scenic region of Mahikeng , North West, is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Adventure Tourism Coordinator. This role is central to the planning, organization, and execution of high-quality adventure experiences, including hiking, camping, wildlife viewing, and cultural tours. The Senior Coordinator will lead a team of guides and support staff, manage operational logistics, ensure adherence to safety standards, and drive customer satisfaction. They will also play a key role in developing new tour packages and enhancing existing offerings to meet market demands. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for adventure, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the North West region's tourism potential. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all adventure tours and activities.
• Lead, train, and manage a team of adventure guides and operational staff, ensuring high performance and safety compliance.
• Develop and implement robust safety protocols and emergency procedures for all tours.
• Manage tour logistics, including transportation, accommodation, equipment, and catering arrangements.
• Ensure all tours meet high standards of customer service and deliver exceptional experiences.
• Develop new tour itineraries and packages, conducting market research and feasibility studies.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts for services.
• Monitor operational costs and manage the budget for tour operations.
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain inventory and condition of all operational equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tourism regulations and environmental conservation policies.
• Contribute to marketing efforts by providing content and insights for promotional materials.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Tourism Management, Hospitality, Outdoor Recreation, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the adventure tourism industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Extensive knowledge of adventure activities, safety management systems, and risk assessment.
• Proven experience in leading and managing teams in an outdoor or operational environment.
• Strong organizational and logistical planning skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of the North West region's geography, attractions, and cultural heritage is essential.
