Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our fully remote team, driving pricing, reserving and forecasting. You will develop and apply advanced actuarial models to assess risks and inform financial strategy from any location.

The role requires FSA/ASA or progress toward designation, 5+ years in actuarial roles, and strong proficiency in R, Python and SQL, with excellent communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Actuarial designation or progress toward it.
• Minimum 5 years in an actuarial role within insurance.
• Advanced knowledge of actuarial principles and modeling.
• Proficient in R, Python, SQL and related tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting.
• Analyze datasets to assess risks and determine pricing strategies.
• Evaluate financial implications of new product development and market changes.
• Prepare actuarial reports and present findings to management and regulators.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to best practices.
