Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Remote Insurance Actuary to join a sophisticated risk modeling team. Work entirely remotely while leveraging advanced analytics to price, reserve, and forecast insurance liabilities from a global perspective.

The role requires fellowship in a recognized actuarial society and extensive insurance industry experience. You will mentor juniors and collaborate with product, underwriting, and finance teams in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• Fellowship in a recognized actuarial society (e.g., FASA, FSA, FCAS) or equivalent.
• Significant professional experience as an actuary in the insurance industry.
• Expertise in actuarial modeling software, statistical analysis tools, and programming languages (R, Python, SQL).
• Strong understanding of insurance product design, reserving principles, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain complex actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting insurance liabilities.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, assess risks, and evaluate profitability of insurance products.
• Provide actuarial expertise and support to product development, underwriting, and finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with actuarial standards, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Mentor junior actuaries and contribute to methodological improvements.
