Placements24 is hiring a Senior Actuarial Analyst in Durban to lead pricing, reserving, and risk management for insurance products. You will collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to influence strategic decisions in a face-to-face, office-based role in KwaZulu-Natal.

The role requires an actuarial designation (Associate or Fellow) with 4+ years' experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Prophet/ResQ and data tools such as SQL, R, and Python.

Qualifications

• Associate or Fellow of a recognized actuarial society (e.g., Actuarial Society of South Africa)
• Minimum of 4 years of actuarial experience in the insurance industry
• Proficiency in actuarial software and data analysis tools

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain pricing models for new and existing insurance products.
• Perform reserving calculations and analyses.
• Conduct experience studies and analyze loss trends for pricing and product development.
• Support risk management frameworks and capital modeling.
• Prepare actuarial reports and presentations for senior management and regulators
