Placements24 is hiring a Senior Actuarial Analyst in Durban to lead pricing, reserving, and risk management for insurance products. You will collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to influence strategic decisions in a face-to-face, office-based role in KwaZulu-Natal.

The role requires an actuarial designation (Associate or Fellow) with 4+ years' experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Prophet/ResQ and data tools such as SQL, R, and Python.

You will work closely with senior management and other departments to provide critical insights that drive strategic decision-making. This is an office-based position where you will collaborate face-to-face with a talented team, contributing to the company's ongoing success in the vibrant coastal city of KwaZulu-Natal .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain pricing models for new and existing insurance products, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
• Perform reserving calculations and analyses, adhering to statutory and management requirements.
• Conduct experience studies and analyze loss trends to inform pricing and product development strategies.
• Support the development and implementation of risk management frameworks and capital modeling.
• Prepare actuarial reports and presentations for senior management, regulators, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Associate or Fellow of a recognized actuarial society (e.g., Actuarial Society of South Africa).
