Placements24 is seeking a Senior Accountant in Randburg, Gauteng, offering a hybrid on-site/remote setup. You will oversee monthly to annual IFRS financial reporting, GL management, bank reconciliations, budgeting, and audits, while mentoring junior staff.

The ideal candidate holds a CA(SA)/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification with 5+ years of experience in financial reporting and a solid knowledge of SAP/Oracle/Sage and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in progressive accounting roles with financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS financial statements.
• Manage general ledger and ensure timely, accurate transactional entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and intercompany accounts.
• Assist in budgets and forecasts and support audits.
• Identify process improvements to enhance controls and efficiency.
• Mentor junior staff and perform variance analysis.

Requirements
