Placements24 is seeking a Geophysicist specializing in seismic interpretation to join our client's team in Kimberley on a hybrid basis. You will process and interpret seismic data to identify hydrocarbon potential and contribute to subsurface models, collaborating with geologists and engineers.

The role demands at least 4 years in seismic interpretation within oil and gas, proficiency in Petrel and Kingdom Suite, and strong communication skills for hybrid work environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Physics, or a related earth science discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in seismic interpretation within the oil and gas exploration sector.
• Proficiency with industry-standard seismic interpretation software (Petrel, Kingdom Suite).
• Strong understanding of seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation principles.
• Experience with seismic attributes, inversion, and velocity modeling.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities

• Process, quality control, and interpret 2D and 3D seismic data.
• Identify and delineate geological structures and stratigraphic features indicative of hydrocarbon potential.
• Integrate seismic data with well logs, core data, and other geological information.
• Develop and refine seismic attribute analysis for reservoir characterization.
• Prepare detailed geophysical reports and presentations for technical and management review.
• Collaborate with geoscientists and engineers to build integrated subsurface models.
