Job summary

Servest Security in Secunda is seeking a Security Supervisor (Grade A) to lead the security team, oversee operations, and protect people. The role requires PSIRA Grade A, National Key Point, and several years in security with supervisory experience.

You will supervise all staff on duty, ensure continuous site coverage, and manage risk assessments while reporting to the Line Manager.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent.
• PSIRA Grade A Certificate (valid and active).
• Registered with PSIRA as Supervisor.
• National Key Point Certificate.
• Grade 10/11 report with minimum 4 years' experience.
• 3-5 years in the security industry.
• 2+ years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• No criminal record with fingerprint clearance from SAPS.
• Valid driver's licence (Code 8/B or higher) for >2 years.

Responsibilities

• Supervising all staff on duty.
• Ensure site is covered at all times; manage leave & queries.
• Keep Risk Assessments & SPMs up to date.
• Manage postings of staff to posts.
• Identify, manage and mitigate risks.
• Mitigate risks affecting service delivery to clients.
• Report risks to Line Manager.
• Oversee daily parades and safety activities.
• Ensure site documentation (Site File) is available.
• Inspect fences and gates; report deviations.
• Maintain discipline of Service Provider personnel.

• Registered with PSIRA as a security officer (Supervisor level).
• National Key Point Certificate
• Grade 10/11 report with minimum of 4 years' experience
• 3-5 years in the security industry
• 2+ years in a supervisory/leadership role
• Experience in industrial/mining/corporate environments
• No criminal record (clear fingerprint clearance from SAPS).
• Valid driver's licence (Code 8/B or higher) more than 2 years
• Medical fitness certificate
• Must reside in Secunda
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to handle incidents, discipline staff, and report effectively.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of company SOPs, emergency procedures, and site instructions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervising all staff members on duty.
• Ensure that the site is covered at all times. Control of leave planners and attending to all personnel queries.
• Ensure that Risk Assessments & SPM's are up to date at all times.
• Manage the posting of staff members to their posts.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate all potential risks.
• Manage all risks which could negatively affect the service delivery to clients.
• Report all risks relating to service delivery to your Line Manger.
• The handling and management of daily parades and all safety.
• Ensure that all relevant documentation is available at all posts (Site File).
• Inspect all fences and gates during the shift and report any deviations found (Zero Energies).
• Maintain Service Provider personnel discipline.
