Job summary

SA Metal Group (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Security Supervisor for the Secunda branch. The role oversees day-to-day security operations and reports to the Security Manager. The candidate will lead a team, ensure safety and compliance, and manage access controls and patrols.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in security, a Grade B PSIRA, and a commitment to maintaining high security standards. Willingness to work overtime and irregular hours is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of Supervisory experience in the Safety & Security Sector.
• PSIRA Grade B registration is required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspection of security officers and equipment.
• Maintain security standards across the Secunda branch.
• Conduct weekly searches and locker searches.
• Train security officers to ensure safety of employees, clients and property.
• Deploy security staff as needed.
• Communicate security status, updates and potential problems to management.
• Ensure access control and manning of gates and patrols of assigned areas.
• Ensure items leaving premises have appropriate documentation.

The Group currently has a vacancy for a Security Supervisor to join the team at the Secunda branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of the Secunda security operations. The successful candidate will report to the Security Manager. He/she will also have to:

• Daily inspection of security officers and equipment

• Ensure that all company rules, policies and procedures are always adhered to

Qualifying Experience

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of Supervisory experience in the Safety & Security Sector.
• Driver’s license will be advantageous.
• Registered with PSIRA – Minimum Grade B.
