Job summary

SA Metal in Pretoria is seeking a Security Inspector to join the Security Department at the Pretoria branch. The successful candidate will report to the Security Manager and oversee daily security operations.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, maintaining standards, conducting searches, CCTV reviews, training staff, investigations, and coordinating responses. The role requires Grade 12, 5 years supervisory security experience, PSIRA Grade A, driver’s license, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 5 years’ supervisory experience in the Security Sector.
• Computer literate - full Microsoft suite and CCTV programs
• Report writing skills
• Investigative skills
• Driver’s license and own, reliable transport are essential.
• PSIRA Grade A registered

Responsibilities

• Daily inspection of security equipment
• Maintain security standards
• Conduct weekly searches and locker searches
• CCTV reviews
• Training security staff
• Report writing
• Incident/ accident investigations.
• Deployment of security staff
• Communicate security status, updates, and actual or potential problems to Management
• Conduct site investigations and report on findings
• Oversee asset protection of both customers and staff as well as prevent theft and inventory/stock loss
• Identify, investigate, or resolve security breaches and coordinate appropriate responses
• Conduct regular risk assessments together with Management
