Job summary

SA Metal Group (Pty) Ltd is seeking Security Officers at the Elandsfontein Branch to manage access control, conduct searches, and ensure compliance with company procedures. The role includes patrolling, handling documentation, PPE administration, and protecting people and assets on site.

Qualifications

Grade 12 qualification completed.
PSIRA Grade C registration with valid certification.
2–3 years of relevant security experience.

Responsibilities

Control access and egress at SA Metal properties by registering and operating gates.
Search pedestrians, vehicles and belongings exiting SA Metal premises.
Issue PPE to customers/visitors and collect PPE after their visit.
Ensure items leaving premises are accompanied by documentation.
Conduct and document pre-access checks (breathalyser where applicable).
Patrol assigned areas at regular intervals.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures at all times.
Observe and report suspicious activity.
Maintain the Incident Report Book.
Book in/out containers/bins and secure assets.
Protect SA Metal’s property and people on site.
Perform ad-hoc tasks as required by management.
