Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Section Manager for the Charge Room in a manufacturing setting. The role focuses on providing operational and maintenance support to the HOD and driving performance improvements in the Charge Room division.

The successful candidate will design and implement systems and plans to maximise output and help meet production targets, with relevant technical qualifications and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• NQF 5 technical/electrical certificate or trade-tested artisan
• Accounting and Leadership certificate
• Up to 10 years in Electrical Production/Operations in manufacturing
• Up to 5 years supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and maintenance support in the Charge Room Division to assist the HOD
• Design and implement related systems and plans to maximise performance and contribute to production targets

Education

NQF 5 Technical/Engineering/Electrical certificate or Trade Tested Artisan (Electrician or Millwright preferred)

Accounting and Leadership certificate

NQF 6 Diploma in Technical/Engineering/Electrical discipline

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (NQF 7)

• Certificate in a Technical / Engineering / Electrical discipline (NQF 5)
  Trade Tested Artisan (preferably Electrician or Millwright)
• Certificate in Accounting and Leadership
• Up to 10 years experience in the Electrical Production / Operations field in a Manufacturing environment of which:
• Up to 5 years should be at Supervisory level

Advantageous:

• Diploma in a Technical / Engineering / Electrical discipline (NQF 6)
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (NQF 7)

Responsibilities:

• To support the HOD by providing operational and maintenance support in the Charge Room Division.
• To furthermore design and implement related systems and plans to maximise performance, output and contribute in the achievement of production targets.
