Job summary

JVR Software in Gauteng seeks an experienced Sea Imports Freight Forwarding Desk Analyst to manage 100-130 active bookings and coordinate with customers, overseas agents and shipping lines. The role demands accuracy and the ability to handle a high-volume inbox daily.

The ideal candidate will have proven Sea Imports experience, familiarity with CargoWise, and strong administration and communication skills to ensure smooth handovers to operations after forwarding completes.

Qualifications

• Experience in Sea Imports Freight Forwarding.
• Ability to manage 60+ active files concurrently.
• Proven ability to handle high-volume email inboxes (400-500 daily).
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage sea import shipments from booking stage through final transhipment sailing.
• Maintain shipment files, documentation and records accurately.
• Coordinate with customers, shipping lines and international agents.
• Monitor vessel schedules and shipment progress.
• Ensure all shipment-related information is updated throughout forwarding.
• Facilitate handover to downstream operations upon completion.
