Job summary

IntelliStaff in Randburg, South Africa, is seeking a Freight Forwarding Specialist to manage import and export shipments end to end from Chartwell/ Randburg. You will coordinate bookings, collections and final deliveries while ensuring accurate shipping and customs documentation and proactive client management.

The role requires 3+ years in freight forwarding or international moving operations, and experience with CargoWise or similar freight-management systems, SARS EDI, and Afrikaans language

Qualifications

• Matric / National Senior Certificate.
• Minimum 3 years freight forwarding or international moving operations experience.
• Imports and exports experience.
• FCL, LCL, air freight and road freight experience.
• End-to-end shipment file ownership and direct client contact.
• CargoWise or similar freight-management system experience.
• Customs entry framing / SARS EDI experience.
• International household moving experience.
• Freight, customs or logistics qualification.
• Afrikaans proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage import and export shipments end to end.
• Arrange bookings, collections and final deliveries.
• Prepare and check shipping and customs documentation.
• Proactively manage clients, carriers, agents and shipment exceptions.
• Manage accruals, supplier costs, invoicing, margin and file closure.
