Job summary

DataTech Recruitment is seeking a SAP Business One Support Analyst in Johannesburg to provide day-to-day user support, troubleshoot issues, and manage access and authorisations. This hands-on role offers exposure to reporting and routine data tasks, with guidance from an SAP Business One Specialist.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of SAP B1 experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while escalating complex issues when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of practical SAP Business One experience.
• Previous experience supporting SAP B1 users.
• Good general computer literacy.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Able to investigate issues logically before escalating them.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable dealing directly with users.
• Able to manage and prioritise multiple support requests.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day SAP Business One support to users.
• Troubleshoot SAP errors, queries and general system issues.
• Investigate problems before escalating them.
• Review transactions, documents, document flows, master data and authorisations.
• Identify whether issues relate to user error, permissions, data, configuration or business processes.
• Resolve routine SAP B1 support queries independently.
• Create and maintain SAP Business One users.
• Manage user onboarding, changes, offboarding and system access.
• Maintain user profiles, settings and authorisations.
• Assist with SAP licence allocation and monitoring.
• Run and distribute standard operational reports.
• Assist users with basic SAP reporting and data queries.
• Investigate basic transactional or reporting discrepancies.
• Assist with data extraction and preparation.
• Support routine SAP Business One administration and system housekeeping.
• Assist with master data maintenance.
• Assist with Data Transfer Workbench activities.
• Support testing following system updates or changes.
• Manage SAP support tickets from logging through to resolution.
• Keep users updated on outstanding support requests.
• Escalate more complex SQL, integration, development or technical issues with the correct supporting information.
• Identify recurring user issues and opportunities to improve processes or system usage.
