Atlantic Electrical Wholesalers is apart of the Plumstead Electrical Group. We are an established Electrical & Lighting Wholesaler based in Cape Town. We serve customers in and around the City of Cape Town and the Western Cape, providing electrical and lighting products to residential, commercial, and industrial clients, as well as the general public and municipalities. Role Description

The Salesperson role is a full-time position based in Rivergate, Parklands. The individual in this role will engage with walk-in and existing customers, identify their electrical product needs, and provide accurate information and recommendations. Daily tasks include determining clients needs, sourcing products based on those needs, preparing quotations and processing orders in a timeous manner, develop and maintaining healthy customer relations. The Salesperson will handle basic after-sales inquiries, and support the achievement of sales targets. This role also involves keeping up to date with product ranges, and contributing to a professional and organized sales environment.

Skills and Requirements Needed

• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Sales abilities, including experience meeting targets.
• Product knowledge of electrical and lighting goods.
• Competence with computer systems, including POS or ERP systems, email, and basic office software for quotations, order entry, and recordkeeping.
• Clear, professional communication skills in spoken and written English; additional local languages are an advantage.
• Strong organization and time management skills, with attention to detail when preparing quotes, invoices, and documentation.
• Ability to work reliably on-site, collaborate with colleagues across sales and operations, and adapt to a busy, customer-facing environment.
• Prior experience in electrical wholesaling, hardware, or similar technical sales is beneficial; a relevant qualification or certificate in sales or a technical field is an advantage.
