Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent)
• 3–5 years of proven sales experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or transport
• Experience with client development, quotations, pricing, contracts, and pipeline reporting
• Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade is a plus
• Fluency in English and valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities in international freight forwarding and customs clearance
• Grow the portfolio of international freight forwarding and customs clearance services
• Develop opportunities within local road freight market
• Prepare quotations and pricing proposals and assist in contract negotiations
• Manage bookings and shipment tracking with internal systems
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and report progress to management

Our client, based in Pretoria, is a leading provider of logistics and transportation solutions specialising in international freight forwarding, customs clearance, local road transport, and supply chain management. They are seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Representative to join their growing team.

Job Purpose:

To generate new business by promoting international freight forwarding, customs clearance, and local road freight services. The successful candidate will be responsible for building long-term client relationships, preparing quotations, achieving sales targets, and contributing to the continued growth of the business

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education (essential):

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum applicable experience (years):

• Minimum 3-5 years' proven sales experience within the logistics, freight forwarding, or transport industry

Required nature of experience:

• Business development and new client acquisition
• International freight forwarding and customs clearance
• Local road freight services
• Preparing quotations and pricing proposals
• Contract negotiation and relationship management
• Sales pipeline management and reporting
• Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade

Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of international logistics and customs processes
