Job summary

Christine Loopstra is seeking a commercially driven Sales Lead in Somerset West to own the sales pipeline from lead generation to conversion across corporate, leisure, MICE, weddings, and luxury travel segments.

You will develop targeted sales strategies, build key relationships with corporate accounts, agencies, and travel partners, and collaborate with Revenue and Marketing to maximise revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience in luxury hospitality (MICE, corporate, and leisure markets).
• Proven track record of meeting targets and generating new business.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with Cvent and similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to identify, qualify, and convert new opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate accounts, agencies, DMCs, event organisers, and travel partners.
• Lead client visits, site inspections, and hosted experiences with Revenue/Marketing teams.
• Maintain a precise sales pipeline and ensure handed-over business is captured by operations.

SALES LEAD

Somerset West: My client, a luxury 5-star country estate in the heart of the Cape Winelands, is seeking a commercially driven Sales Lead to join their team. This role is ideally suited to a proactive sales professional with strong hospitality experience who thrives on building strategic client relationships, generating new business, and driving sustainable revenue growth across premium markets.

Purpose of the role

To take ownership of the sales pipeline from lead generation to conversion, focusing on corporate, leisure, MICE, weddings, and luxury travel segments to maximise commercial objectives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts, agencies, DMCs, event organisers, and travel trade partners
• Conduct client visits, site inspections, and hosted experiences, while collaborating closely with the Revenue and Marketing teams
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, monitor KPIs, and ensure confirmed business is seamlessly handed over to operational teams

Criteria

• Proven sales experience within a luxury hospitality environment, specifically across MICE, corporate, and high-end travel markets
• A demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets, generating new business, and strategic account management
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Experience with platforms like Cvent
• Valid driver's licence, and a willingness to travel locally
