Job summary

Accountancy Placements in Durban seeks an experienced Sales Engineer to grow the business by selling a range of electronic and electrical products and packaged solutions to new and existing customers.

You will analyze markets, develop sales-related processes, and manage customer requests. You will present technical solutions and travel to client sites and events as needed.

Qualifications

Our respectable client is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for marketing and growing the business to a new and existing customer base through selling a range of products and packaged solutions.
• Perform market analysis to identify gaps.
• Develop and organize sales-related processes and activities (networking, meetings, and special sales events).
• Manage the sales request process for all types of customer requests (i.e. quotes, inquiries, RFPs, and tenders).
• Provide specialist advice, site-specific or customer-specific design, and validate design requirements for local conditions and recommend solutions.
• Prepare any necessary customer deliverables (concept layouts, single line diagrams, and equipment or material specifications).
• Present our products and solutions to customers and at field events (conferences, seminars, etc.).

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years engineering experience.
• Degree/Diploma in Electronic/Electrical Engineering.
• Computer and Technical/Mechanical ability.
• Technical solutions sales experience is required.
• Strong presentation skills, solution-oriented with a deep understanding of project and customer requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to write speeches and articles for publication.
• Mathematical skills and reasoning abilities.
• Willing to travel.
