  • Identify and onboard installation partners and ensure seamless integration.
  • Lead market-specific strategic initiatives and coordinate pilots.

Job description

At Webfleet, we are seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Sales Engineer to join our team in South Africa. This role will serve as the primary technical contact in the region, working closely with the global headquarters' Operations team. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing technical issues, training regional partners, and supporting strategic initiatives. This position requires strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams including sales, customer support, and product development.

What will your role be?
  • Technical Leadership and Support
    • Act as the main technical reference for customers and internal teams in South Africa and surrounding regions.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating to HQ when necessary.
    • Oversee and facilitate customer cases that are escalated to different divisions within the organization.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing
    • Serve as the training responsible in the region, ensuring partners and customers are well‑informed on technical products and solutions.
    • Liaise with other Sales Engineers globally to share best practices and technical insights.
  • Partner Development and Integration
    • Identify and onboard new installation partners while maintaining relationships with existing ones.
    • Support the setup and integration of new partners to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Strategic Projects & Product Testing
    • Lead market‑specific strategic initiatives to drive growth and operational excellence.
    • Manage pilot product tests within the region and coordinate with central product and value stream teams.
  • Cross‑functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with regional sales, customer support, and operations teams to ensure technical alignment and customer satisfaction.
    • Maintain regular communication with central product teams and value stream teams as needed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

  • Experience working in a multicultural and cross‑functional environment
