Job summary

RecruitSmith (PTY) LTD is seeking a Customer-focused Sales Representative to service and grow a portfolio in the chemical cleaning industry. The role combines customer service, technical support, and on-site product training.

You will conduct regular visits, provide dilution guidance, safety handling instructions, and participate in audits, with a focus on building lasting client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years' experience in a Technical Service or Chemical Cleaning environment
• Experience training customers on products and applications is advantageous
• Knowledge of chemical dosing systems, food processing, and hygiene solutions is highly beneficial
• Sales or Marketing qualification will be advantageous

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Technical Support

• Service, retain, and grow an existing customer portfolio.

• Conduct regular customer visits and quality audits.

• Provide product training, dilution guidance, and safe handling instruction.

• Perform wash audits, titrations, and hygiene swabbing where required.

• Manage customer stock takes and place replenishment orders.

• Resolve customer concerns and recommend practical solutions.

Sales & Business Development

• Grow sales within existing accounts by identifying additional opportunities.

• Introduce new products and value-added solutions.

• Prepare professional quotations and proposals.

• Build strong relationships with customers across various industries.

• Promote the company's products and services to increase market awareness.

Administration

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports.

• Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.

• Communicate regularly with customers and management.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements
