Job summary

Perfect Placement Recruitment is seeking a SAICA Audit Clerk in George, with on-site, full-time placement. You will assist with auditing and compilation of financial statements, and support VAT reconciliations and SARS submissions.

Ideal candidates are finishing Grade 12 and studying towards a SAICA-accredited accounting degree, bilingual in English and Afrikaans, with solid computer skills and proficiency in Pastel, Sage Online, Xero, and Draftworx.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and pursuing a SAICA-accredited accounting degree.
• Strong understanding of accounting practices and procedures.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Experience with Pastel, Sage Online, Xero; knowledge of Draftworx is advantageous.
• Fully bilingual: English and Afrikaans.

Locations: George, Oudtshoorn or Mossel Bay

Position Type: On-site, full-time placement

Salary: R8 500 - R13 500 - Experience & qualification dependant

Duties:

• Auditing of financial statements.
• Compilation of financial statements.
• Independent review of financial statements.
• Processing of invoices and bank transactions.
• Reconciliation of bank accounts.
• Reconciliation of debtors and creditors.
• Preparation of year to date VAT reconciliations.
• Completion and submission of VAT201 returns and payments.
• Handling of SARS VAT reviews and audits.
• Preparation of management accounts
• Keeping your SAICA assessment process up to date

Requirements:

• Grade 12, studying towards a SAICA accredited degree in accounting.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting practices and procedures.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Experience with financial software (Pastel/Sage Online/Xero) and knowledge of Draftworx will be advantageous.
• Fully bilingual : English and Afrikaans.
