Job summary

Midvaal Recruitment is looking for a motivated SAIPA Clerk based in Vereeniging, Gauteng. This role offers an excellent opportunity to commence or continue SAIPA articles within a well-established auditing and accounting firm. The successful candidate will engage in various accounting, tax, and assurance functions, capturing records, preparing management accounts, and supporting compliance with tax regulations.

Ideal candidates should have a BCom or similar degree, be eligible for SAIPA Articles, and have strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Eligible to register for SAIPA Articles.
• Strong academic record advantageous.
• Ability to commute to Vereeniging.

Responsibilities

• Capture and process accounting records up to trial balance.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Assisting with year-end financial statements.
• VAT calculations and submissions.
• Assisting with tax compliance (Income Tax, Provisional Tax, PAYE).
• Supporting audit and independent review engagements.

Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Excellent numerical accuracy

Overview

SAIPA Clerk (Articles) – MID614. Location: Vereeniging, Gauteng. Firm Type: Auditing & Accounting Practice. A well-established auditing and accounting firm based in Vereeniging is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SAIPA Clerk to commence or continue SAIPA articles. This role offers excellent exposure to a broad range of accounting, tax, and assurance functions within a professional practice environment.

Responsibilities

• Capture and process accounting records up to trial balance
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Assisting with year-end financial statements
• VAT calculations and submissions
• Assisting with tax compliance (Income Tax, Provisional Tax, PAYE)
• Supporting audit and independent review engagements
• General accounting and administrative duties as required

Minimum Requirements

• BCom / BCompt / BAcc degree or similar (SAIPA-accredited qualification)
• Eligible to register for SAIPA Articles
• Strong academic record advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills (English essential; Afrikaans advantageous)
• Residing in or able to commute to Vereeniging
