Job summary

Profession Hub in Sandton seeks an experienced Sage ERP Implementation Consultant with a strong accounting background. You will lead end-to-end Sage ERP projects, analyse client requirements, configure solutions, and provide user training and post-implementation support.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare project documentation, and identify opportunities for process improvement. Traveling to client sites will be required to support workshops and go-live activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Completed articles (SAIPA/ACCA/CIMA/SAICA) or in progress.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our dynamic team as an Implementation Consultant. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in finance, preferably as a SAIPA/CIMA/SAICA Article Clerk. The role is for a consultant in a fast-paced environment with a lot of growth opportunities.

Location: Sandton

Educational Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Must have completed articles (or be in the process of completing) through SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA, or SAICA.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

High level of attention to detail and strong analytical thinking.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Attributes:

Experience in system implementations or consulting roles advantageous.

Project management knowledge or certification is a plus.

Ability to travel to client sites as needed for project meetings, workshops, and go-live support activities.

The applicant must be a responsible person and must be able to work independently.

The applicant must have good client relations and respond quickly to client queries.

The applicant must have excellent communication and writing skills

Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Sage Implementation Consultant, you will be responsible for guiding clients through the end-to-end implementation of Sage ERP solutions, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal system adoption. Your key responsibilities will include:

Leading and managing full-cycle Sage ERP implementations for new and existing clients.

Conducting business process analysis and requirements gathering to understand client needs.

Configuring Sage solutions according to client requirements.

Providing user training and post-implementation support.

Collaborating with internal teams and clients to ensure successful delivery.

Preparing project documentation, including project plans, functional specifications, and status reports.

Identifying opportunities for process improvement and system optimisation.

Acting as a subject matter expert on Sage functionality and best practices.
