Job summary

RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is seeking a professionally registered Site Agent to lead major national roads projects in the Northern Cape.

You will manage on-site construction, plan resources, and maintain compliance with GCC/FIDIC/NEC contracts, while developing site teams and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

• BTech/BEng/National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng/Pr Techni Eng registration with ECSA or Pr CM registration with SACPCMP (essential).
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in civil construction, with at least 5 years in Site Agent or Senior Site Management role on large-scale national or equivalent road projects
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary road construction projects including earthworks, layerworks, drainage, and surfacing
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., GCC 2015, FIDIC, or NEC)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s licence
• Willingness to be based on site in the Northern Cape

• Lead, mentor, and develop site teams to achieve performance and productivity targets.
• Manage contract administration, variations, and claims in collaboration with the project manager and quantity surveying team.
• Drive continuous improvement in construction methodologies and quality management systems.
