Placements24 is seeking a Civil Engineer specializing in road and bridge design to join our Mossel Bay team in the Western Cape. The role focuses on delivering safe, efficient transport infrastructure and supporting regional growth.

You will lead design from feasibility through construction supervision, coordinate with SANRAL standards, and mentor junior engineers in a hybrid work setup that values innovation and professional excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with relevant road and bridge design experience.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr.Eng or Candidate Engineer.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in road design and construction supervision.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and pavement engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Design plans for roads, highways, intersections, and bridge structures.
• Conduct traffic studies, geometric design, and pavement analysis.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of quantities.
• Manage project timelines and budgets, coordinating with teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with SANRAL standards and regulations.
• Perform site visits for design verification and construction supervision in Mossel Bay.
