Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking Trainee Managers to build a talent pool for its Western Cape stores. The role focuses on stock management, customer service, and retail operations to prepare for future opportunities within the company.

Essential criteria include Matric and 1–2 years in store retail management, plus strong MS Office skills and a valid driver’s license. A Diploma in Financial / Admin or similar is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• 1–2 years’ experience in store retail management including stock, cash, reporting, expenses and customer service.
• Computer literate – MS Office.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
• Advantageous: Diploma in Financial / Admin or relevant 3-year Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Manage stock flow, goods in transit, cycle counts and stock accuracy.
• Maintain promotional stock displays and pricing standards.
• Assist with POS operations, cash-ups, and expense monitoring.
• Support customer service and handle complaints promptly.
• Assist HR processes, leave management, and KRONOS data entry.
• Contribute to sales targets and regional store initiatives.
• Collaborate with department heads to optimize profitability.
