Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity for a Trainee Manager in Pretoria East. You will learn overall store operations under the direction and supervision of a store manager, performing a wide range of retail operational duties with general guidance.

Minimum requirements include Grade 12, 1–2 years in store retail management, MS Office proficiency, willingness to work retail hours, a valid driver’s license and own transport. Diploma advantageous.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric is required.
• 1–2 years’ experience in store retail management disciplines including stock management, cash, reporting, expense control and customer service.
• Computer literate – MS Office.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Manage stock levels and inventory processes to ensure accuracy and minimise shrinkage.
• Assist with sales floor planning, promotions and stock displays.
• Support cash handling, POS operations, and reconciliation of daily cash-ups.
• Contribute to customer service excellence and resolve complaints promptly.
• Assist with HR processes and learning activities as part of trainee programme.
