Job summary

Tiger Brands’ Tastic Rice production site in Durban is seeking a team member to perform general production and operational duties, ensuring rice processing, packaging, material handling and housekeeping are carried out safely and efficiently.

You will assist with operation of equipment, monitor processes, ensure quality, cleanliness, and compliance with HACCP/GMP; contribute to daily targets; follow safety procedures and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• NQF5 preferred.
• Basic literacy and numeracy.
• Experience in manufacturing/food processing advantageous.
• Rice processing/packaging experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation of production and packaging equipment under supervision.
• Monitor production processes and report abnormalities or problems.
• Assist with packing, handling, labeling and stacking of finished rice products.
• Ensure products are packed to specifications and quality standards.
• Support daily production targets and optimize efficiency.
• Identify and report defects, packaging errors and waste.

Education

Grade 12

NQF5 preferred

Basic literacy and numeracy

Experience in manufacturing/food processing advantageous

Rice processing/packaging experience advantageous
