Job summary

HENSOLDT South Africa seeks a Systems Technician to support delivery and lifecycle performance of complex engineering systems through integration, verification, testing, maintenance and technical support to ensure compliant, reliable, customer-ready solutions.

The role requires a National Diploma in Electronic Engineering, 3+ years in a product development or systems engineering environment, and strong RF measurement expertise, with advantageous defence-technology and IPC-related certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a product development or systems engineering environment.
• Practical experience in RF measurement and testing is essential.
• Experience with analogue and digital electronic systems, test equipment and engineering documentation.
• Experience in system integration, verification, testing and maintenance.
• Defence technology environment experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute engineering work packages across system development and implementation to meet project requirements.
• Integrate, install and configure hardware and software systems using approved procedures and controlled docs.
• Execute functional, regression and acceptance testing to demonstrate conformity and readiness for customer acceptance.
• Perform fault diagnosis, repairs, preventive maintenance and investigations to improve reliability and lifecycle performance.
• Apply engineering quality and configuration control to maintain technical integrity and traceability.
