Job summary

Exceed HR and Recruitment in Stellenbosch is seeking an AIT Technician to assemble, integrate and test RF and digital communication units. The role requires a B-Tech or Advanced Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with 5+ years in RF/communication systems.

You will perform precision assembly, test jigs, data recording and support process improvements. Requirements include expertise in digital electronics and RF testing equipment, strong fault-finding across analog/digital/RF, and

Qualifications

• B-Tech Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an AIT Technician or in RF/communication systems.
• Experience in an electronic engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong electronic production and precision assembly skills.
• Experience with digital electronics and RF testing equipment.
• Strong fault-finding skills across analogue, digital and RF circuits.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, bills of materials and work instructions.
• Space, defence, aerospace or high-reliability electronics experience advantageous.
• Knowledge of quality systems, ESD practices and environmental testing advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with technical teams.
• Willing to occasionally work extended hours during testing.
• South African citizenship or valid work permit.
