Placements24 invites an experienced Telecom RF Optimization Engineer to join our Randburg team. You will enhance 2G/3G/4G/5G network performance through RF optimization, data analysis, and targeted interventions, using tools like TEMS and Actix.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications, 3–5 years in RF optimization, strong analytical and communication skills, and a hybrid work setup from Randburg, Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 3-5 years of RF optimization experience for GSM/UMTS/LTE/5G.
• Proficiency with RF optimization tools and drive test software (TEMS, Actix).

Responsabilités

• Analyze RF network performance data, including drive test results, KPIs, and customer complaints.
• Identify and troubleshoot RF issues such as poor coverage, dropped calls, and low data speeds.
• Implement optimization solutions, including antenna tilting, parameter adjustments, and neighbor list tuning.
• Plan and execute RF data collection campaigns using specialized equipment.
• Develop and maintain RF documentation, including optimization reports and action plans.
• Collaborate with network planning and operations teams to ensure effective implementation of optimization strategies.
• Stay current with RF engineering best practices and emerging technologies in mobile communication.
• Perform site acceptance testing and validation for new site deployments and upgrades.
• Utilize RF planning and simulation tools to predict and model network performance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of network quality and customer satisfaction.
