Job summary

Sygnia Umbrella Retirement Fund seeks a professional to provide retirement benefits counselling and member education. You will explain fund benefits, options, and the financial impact of decisions at key events, while supporting member communication and financial literacy.

Travel to Western Cape client sites, maintain records, and ensure compliance with FICA/POPIA/TCF. Collaborate with employers and fund administrators to deliver accurate and compliant service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience within the retirement fund or broader financial services industry.
• Sound knowledge of retirement fund structures and applicable legislation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience within an umbrella fund environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct retirement benefits counselling sessions for fund members at benefit events.
• Explain retirement fund benefits, options available, and the financial consequences of choices.
• Assist members in understanding legislative and tax implications of benefit decisions.
• Promote preservation of retirement savings and informed financial decision-making.
• Facilitate group and individual member education presentations and workshops.
• Respond to member queries within agreed service standards.
• Maintain accurate records of counselling activities and prepare management information reports.
• Ensure activities comply with legislation, fund rules, and company policies.
