Job summary

Mycareercraft in Sandton, South Africa, seeks a Junior Retirement Fund Consultant with 1–2 years’ experience in the SA employee benefits industry. You will support retirement fund knowledge, governance, and client service, and contribute to advisory activities for fund structures.

The role requires FAIS RE1/RE5 in progress or completed, strong communication, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in SA employee benefits industry
• Knowledge of retirement funds, group risk benefits, governance & legislation
• Practical experience with freestanding funds
• FAIS, RE1 / RE5 in progress or completed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive, client-centric approach with ability to work independently & ability to manage deadlines in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities

• Manage and retain client portfolios
• Provide consulting advice on retirement funds, legislation, governance & group risk products
• Conduct risk rebrokes and advise on product & structures
• Prepare & present client meeting packs, provide secretarial services
• Conduct member presentations where required
