Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Retail Stock Controller for our busy Vereeniging store. Your role will be to manage and optimize inventory, conduct stocktakes, and keep accurate records to prevent stockouts and shrinkage.

You will work with stock management software and POS systems, ensuring product availability and contributing to the store’s financial health through precise stock control. This hands-on job requires attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records using the stock management system.
• Conduct regular stocktakes, cycle counts, and audits.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between stock records and physical counts.
• Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders.
• Track stock movements including receipts, sales, and returns.
• Enforce stock control procedures to minimize shrinkage and loss.
• Assist with receiving and processing incoming stock.
• Organize and maintain stockroom efficiently.
• Provide reports on stock levels, inventory valuation, and shrinkage.
• Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to ensure optimal stock availability.
