Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a reliable Retail Shift Supervisor for a store in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will oversee daily store operations during your shifts, ensure excellent customer service, and support management in achieving sales targets.

You will lead a team of retail associates, supervise opening and closing procedures, manage cash handling and security, and ensure stock integrity and merchandising standards.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a retail team or senior sales role.
• Strong leadership and people-management abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of retail operations including POS, inventory and merchandising.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily retail operations during shifts, ensuring standards.
• Lead and motivate a team of retail associates.
• Ensure high levels of customer service.
• Assist with sales to meet/exceed targets.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and security.
• Manage inventory, stock replenishment, and merchandising presentation.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Train and mentor new staff on procedures and service expectations.
• Ensure store environment is clean, organized and safe.
• Collaborate with management to identify operational improvements.
