Job summary

DotActiv (Pty) Ltd. is seeking a Category Planner in Cape Town to develop strategic assortment plans and data-driven floor space plans using DotActiv software. You will build data-driven shelf plans, conduct analytical reviews, and provide insights to clients while supporting retail customers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of similar and relevant experience in the Retail Sector.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Degree in Consumer Science, Business/Marketing or Supply Chain related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Creating strategic assortment plans.
• Designing data-driven floor space plans.
• Planning and building data-driven shelf plans.
• Conducting floor and space plan analytical reviews.
• Developing optimised cluster plans per product category using the cluster optimizer and maintenance tools in the DotActiv software.
• Analysing the cluster plan and profiling each cluster to deliver insights to clients.
• Maximising customer and category performance by considering strategies, product performance, shopper psychology and aesthetics.
• Supporting and guiding retail customers.
