Job summary

DotActiv is seeking a Category Planner in Randburg, South Africa, to transform in-store experiences and drive sales and profit for retailers using data-driven clustering and assortment planning.

The position is on-site with a Cost to Company between R15k and R20k per month, including a laptop allowance. You will work with the DotActiv software to develop optimized category plans and engage with clients across the retail sector.

Qualifications

• Consumer Science or Commerce degree required.
• Business proficiency in English (speak, read, write).
• 1–2 years retail experience advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle may be required for client visits.
• Laptop with Windows; laptop allowance provided.

Responsibilities

• Create strategic assortment plans for clients.
• Plan and build data-driven shelf layouts.
• Perform floor and space plan analyses.
• Develop optimized clusters using DotActiv tools.
• Analyze cluster plans to provide insights to clients.
• Support and guide retail customers where needed.
