Job summary

Imerys is seeking a senior geologist to support its South African sites in geology, mining, and permitting. The role focuses on mid- to long-term mine planning, resource modelling, and ensuring economical extraction of reserves, with emphasis on environmental compliance and government interactions.

Qualifications

• Support South African sites on geology, mining and permitting.
• Focus on mid to long term mine planning and scheduling; ensure continuity of operations.

Responsibilities

• Resource modelling, annual LOM planning and BMR updates for all sites.
• Permitting management including MR/MP applications and renewals, section 102 amendments.
• Annual update of 5-year strategy (Ore Scheduling plan, Exploration plan, OB mining strategy).
• Environmental compliance including financial provisions and liability assessments, NAEIS and GHG reporting.
